Our Story

 

Originally launched as a grant-funded project to support public media, our direct mail service quickly evolved into something much greater. Driven by the needs of stations, we’ve transformed it into one of the largest full-service agency co-ops in the country. Today, we provide data-driven, high-impact direct mail solutions for public media stations and nonprofit organizations nationwide. With decades of expertise and a commitment to collaboration, we don’t just send mail—we help our clients build lasting donor relationships and maximize their fundraising potential.

Our Team

Donna Han

Donna has more than 16 years of varied fundraising experience. Before joining Greater Public, she worked at WETA in Washington as a manager of their award-winning fundraising program. As part of the team, she developed innovative fundraising techniques to help raise millions for the station.

Before WETA, she worked for a fundraising agency as an executive in charge of the Alzheimer’s Association, National Osteoporosis Foundation, and AIDS of Boston’s direct mail fundraising program.

Laurie Breathnach

Director of Production and Data

Laurie has over 12 years of experience in direct mail fundraising. She manages data standardization for mail processing and oversees production to ensure seamless delivery.

Sally Han

Executive Director

With over 10 years in production and copy management, Sally’s background includes teaching at Seoul Women’s University, where she gained insights into current trends and leadership, adding a unique perspective to Greater Public Services’ campaigns.

Blake Ortner

Renewals and Purchasing

A retired Army Major General with a career at Paralyzed Veterans of America, Blake brings extensive experience in development, operations, and government relations, supporting strategic purchasing and renewals.

Mary Nelson Peasley

Head of Copy
 
With 18 years in fundraising, Mary has directed membership and annual giving programs, raising millions for various organizations. She oversees copy strategy, coordinates acquisition co-op lists, and assists in production.

Julia Squire

Digital Strategist and Copywriter

Julia has more than 8 years in marketing and communications, crafting compelling, benefit-driven materials. With a sociology degree from the University of Bath, Julia specializes in social media strategy, delivering engaging content that motivates followers.

Kristen Ortner

Head Analyst
 
Kristen has over 35 years in direct mail production, with experience at Mailing Services of Pittsburgh, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and WETA. She currently leads Greater Public Services’ analysis efforts.
